I also have a slider but have never put up any bird feeders. Although I often talk about doing that. How did hanging something so close to your house work out? Did you run into any problems?

Louise, hanging a hummingbird feeder on a window is probably the best place for it, because you can view them up close and also keep tabs on whether it needs refilling or cleaning.
We have never had problems. Our cat even enjoys the show from the comfort of her comfy chair
